Marina di Butera serves as the coastal area of the municipality of Butera, in the province of Caltanissetta, on the southern coast of Sicily. Stretching between the mouth of the Comunelli stream and Punta Due Rocche, bordering the municipalities of Gela and Licata, it boasts an approximately 8-kilometer-long sandy coastline. What distinguishes this tourist destination is the picturesque castle perched on a rocky promontory overlooking the bay of Falconara. Of medieval origin and refurbished several times over the centuries, it is now partly used as a private residence and partly as a lodging facility. Once owned by the Santapau, Branciforte, and Chiaramonte Bordonaro families, it has been chosen as a setting for more than one internationally relevant advertising campaign.
