Porto Cesareo is a municipality in the province of Lecce. It overlooks the Ionian sea and is the main locality of the Protected Marine Area of Porto Cesareo and natural reserve "Orientata Regionale Palude del Conte e Duna Costiera". It is an important tourist locality thanks to its wonderful beaches and modern accommodation facilities. Porto Cesareo is characterized by 17 km of beautiful coastline with sandy shores and shallow water but also by many clubs and discotheques. All of this makes Porto Cesareo one of the favourite summer destinations of italian and foreign tourists.

Its long beaches are characterized by well-equipped beach clubs that offer the tourists any kind of service; they also turn into real outdoor discotheques during the evening (when the sun sets) with music, cocktail bar and entertaining service to have fun under the stars. The most famous beach clubs are "Orange sun" and "Bahia del Sol" together with the historic "Tabù". Porto Cesareo guarantees fun and entertainment all day long to both its young and adult tourists.

During the summer, this renowned tourist locality organizes many events and festivals: the religious celebrations alternate with the typical festivals dedicated to the local kitchen and traditions.
