The thermal waters of Bormio are considered a true miracle of nature: they are in fact waters that reach a temperature between the 37th and the 41th century but that flow from places almost perpetually covered by snow, or the imposing Dolomite massif of the Ortles group. Not only spas: Bormio is also the ideal place to walk in the open air, perhaps by bike through the paths of the Stelvio Park, rich in breathtaking landscapes typical of the Valtellina, scenic spots and beautiful lakes.

How to get to Bormio by car

Coming from Milan you can reach Bormio via Lecco along the ss 36 to Colico and then continue along the ss 38 that leads directly to the tourist resort.
Those coming from central or southern Italy or more generally from the A1 motorway can choose two alternative routes depending on whether they decide to visit Bormio in winter or summer. In summer: motorway A22 Modena-Bolzano; highway Bolzano-Merano; Merano - Spondigna; Passo dello Stelvio (open from mid-May to late October), Bormio. In winter: at Verona motorway A4 Turin-Venice direction Turin; exit Brescia west for Lake Iseo; ss 56 up to Edolo; Passo dell'Aprica, Tirano, Bormio.
