Chia

Chia is a fraction of the municipality of Domus de Maria in the province of Cagliari, in the south-west of Sardinia, located on one of the most evocative stretches of coast of the whole island. The landscape is breathtaking: the sand, golden or white, is very soft; the rocky promontories covered with Mediterranean vegetation frame the green and pink beaches. One of the most beautiful beaches is that of Monte Cogoni, characterized by low dunes and light sand, near the Chia pond, where herons and flamingos nest. From here you can also reach the beach of Sa Colonia via a path. The Su Portu beach is also very particular, from which you can reach the Cardolinu islet by walking on a thin line of land.
