Day 1 Italy → Beijing Welcome upon arrival in Beijing, the capital of the People's Republic of China, and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation in your room and the rest of the day free to start discovering the city. Beijing, literally "Northern Capital", the ancient and noble Cambaluc surrounded by white crenellated walls and mentioned by Marco Polo in The Travels of Marco Polo, is today one of the largest and most populous cities in the world. Rich in historical monuments and UNESCO World Heritage Sites, it represents a perfect blend of past and modernity. Long the scene of invasions, uprisings, civil wars, destruction and rebirths, Beijing preserves corners of ineffable beauty, such as the majestic Forbidden City, built between 1406 and 1420, the evocative Summer Palace, the solemn Temple of Heaven, and the legendary Great Wall of China. All these monuments, declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites, make Beijing an unmissable stop on any journey through China.

Day 2 Beijing 60%Culture 50%Nature 40%History 30%Food Breakfast at the hotel. Start of the guided tour of the city with the historic and glorious Tian An Men Square, built in 1417. Its name refers to the "Gate of Heavenly Peace," located on the northern side. The heart and symbol of the capital, Tian An Men is famous for having been the backdrop to the proclamation of the People’s Republic of China by Mao Zedong on October 1, 1949, and for being the setting of significant and dramatic historical events. Next, visit the Imperial Palace, the former residence of the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties - the largest imperial complex in the world, covering 720,000 square meters and comprising 980 buildings. Located at the center of ancient walled Beijing, it is better known as the Forbidden City, due to the prohibition of entry without explicit permission. A masterpiece of classical Chinese architecture, the complex features roofed towers, gates adorned with golden studs, imposing walls, vast courtyards, and imperial gardens. Lunch at a carefully selected local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the poetic Summer Palace, known as the "Garden of Cultivated Harmony". This splendid summer residence of the emperors lies about ten kilometers northeast of the city. Immersed in nature, it is one of Beijing’s most evocative UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The day ends with a welcome dinner at the renowned Bebijing Roast Duck Restaurant, famous for its traditional Peking lacquered duck. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3 Beijing 40%Culture 50%History 30%Adventure Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the visit to the majestic Great Wall of China, at the famous Badaling section, one of the most accessible and renowned. This colossal architectural work, stretching over 6,000 km, was conceived both as a defensive structure and as a strategic communication route during the ancient Chinese dynasties. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, return to Beijing and visit the Temple of Heaven, an immense religious building famous for its blue glazed roofs and golden spheres adorning it. A symbol of harmony between heaven and earth, the temple is one of the city’s most important and evocative sacred sites. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4 Beijing → Xi’an Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the railway station in good time for boarding the high-speed train from Beijing to Xi’an. Xi’an, the capital of Shaanxi Province and the first of China’s Four Ancient Capitals, was chosen by as many as 13 imperial dynasties. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and free time for relaxation or individual activities. Dinner is at your own discretion. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5 Xi’an Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to the magnificent Terracotta Army, the funerary collection of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, who died in 210 BC. Accidentally discovered in 1974 during the digging of a well by a farmer, the site includes about 18 chariots, 100 horses, and 8,000 statues of imperial warriors over 1.8 meters tall, each unique and lifelike. This living archaeological spectacle is impressive and has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, representing one of the largest archaeological sites in the world. Next, stop at the terracotta factory and lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, symbol of the city of Xi’an and a tribute to Emperor Tang Gaozong. The pagoda, built in 709 at the initiative of the Buddhist monk Dai An, houses important Buddhist sacred texts. Subsequently, visit the Great Mosque of Xi’an, dating back to 742 and considered the oldest in China, followed by a walk through the lively Muslim Quarter: a maze of alleys, stalls, colorful lanterns, and shops fragrant with spices. Dinner at a local restaurant with traditional Chinese dumplings, a must-try specialty in Xi’an.

Transfer to the airport for the direct flight to Guilin, a charming and picturesque city in the Guangxi region, famous for its enchanting landscapes made up of karst peaks, unique rock formations, and scenic rivers often celebrated by painters and poets. Originally a simple village on the banks of the Lijiang River, Guilin soon became an important trading center thanks to its strategic location at the confluence of the Blue and Pearl Rivers. Today, it is a political and cultural hub as well as a renowned national tourist destination, known since as early as the 6th century AD. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, visit Fubo Hill, located on the banks of the Li River. Named after a famous general, it rises in the city center, offering from its summit - reachable by climbing several hundred steps - a spectacular panoramic view over the rice fields and surrounding karst peaks. Stop at a river pearl factory and the rest of the day free. Dinner at your own discretion and overnight in Guilin.

Day 7 Guilin → Li River Cruise → Yangshuo → Guilin 50%Culture 60%Nature 30%History 40%Relax 20%Food Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for a scenic cruise on the Li River with a picnic lunch on board. This cruise is one of the most enchanting experiences of the entire trip: the river winds through towering karst peaks, lush green rice fields, traditional villages along the banks, bamboo groves, and small boats of local fishermen. At the end of the cruise, free time to explore the rural charm of Yangshuo, with its authentic atmosphere and breathtaking landscapes, before returning to Guilin. Dinner at your own discretion and overnight in Guilin.

Day 8 Guilin → Shanghai Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport for the direct flight to Shanghai, the famous “Pearl of the Orient” on the Huangpu River - a vibrant metropolis that combines futuristic modernity with ancient traditions. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and free time for relaxation or individual activities. Dinner at your own discretion and overnight in Shanghai.

Day 9 Shanghai 50%Culture 40%History 20%Relax 30%Food Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, visit the famous Yu Garden, a 16th-century masterpiece in Ming style that recreates the typical southern Chinese landscape with ponds, rocks, bridges, and streams, followed by a stroll through the lively Shanghai Bazaar. Continue with a visit to the Jade Buddha Temple, renowned for its precious white jade statue brought from Myanmar, and stop at the famous Bund - the city’s iconic riverside promenade offering a splendid view of the Pudong skyline. Lunch at a local restaurant. Return to the hotel and afternoon free for individual activities. Dinner at your own discretion and overnight in Shanghai.
