Courmayeur is an Italian town in the Alta Valdigne, in the Aosta Valley: a renowned winter and summer tourist resort in the Alps, on its municipal territory there is the highest mountain in Italy and central Europe, Mont Blanc, in common with the neighboring French territory of Chamonix. Despite being a tourist resort of international importance, Courmayeur retains an authentic alpine atmosphere, which can be felt both by strolling through the shops in the center and in the villages surrounding the main town and which go as far as the head of the central valley, where the Dora of Val Veny and the Dora of Val Ferret flow into the Dora Baltea. The alpine atmosphere is also found in the hotels and other accommodation facilities (from the luxury hotel, to the alpine refuge and to the campsite), in the historic cafes in the center and in the restaurants on the slopes: in Courmayeur hospitality, love for tradition and respect of the local architecture are treated in detail.

How to get to Courmayeur by car

From Turin, Milan and Genoa take the A5 motorway (Turin-Aosta-Monte Bianco). Follow this road until the Courmayeur exit (from the beginning of the Aosta Valley there are about 85 km). Take state road 36 and continue for about 2 km, up to Piazzale Monte Bianco di Courmayeur.
