Day 1 Italy → Luxor
Departure from Italy with a flight to Luxor. Transfer aboard the motor yacht, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 2 Luxor → Edfu
Full board on board. Transfer to visit the magnificent Valley of the Kings located on the west bank of the Nile, the largest necropolis in Egypt, where one of the most original and scenic temples was erected: the temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Stop to admire the Colossi of Memnon. Continue the visit with the wonderful Temple of Karnak, dedicated to the god Amon, the most important and largest religious center of Ancient Egypt. Visit to the Luxor Temple. Return on board and wait for the passage of the Nile lock. Navigation to Edfu. Overnight on board.
Day 3 Edfu → Kom Ombo → Aswan
Full board on board. In the morning, departure for the visit to the Temple of Edfu, or the Temple of the Falcon God Horus, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt. After the visit, embark and begin sailing towards Kom Ombo, arriving in the late afternoon. Visit to the Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to two deities: the crocodile-headed God Sobek and the falcon-headed God Haroeris. After the visit, embark and continue sailing towards Aswan. Egyptian festive dinner in traditional Arabic costumes accompanied by ethnic music. Overnight on board.
Day 4 Aswan → Abu Simbel → Aswan
Full board on board. Arrival in Aswan, the southernmost city of Egypt, a well-known vacation spot thanks to its mild climate. Free morning with the possibility of taking an optional excursion (not included in the package price) by bus to the Temple of Abu Simbel, one of the wonders of ancient Egypt. In the afternoon, the possibility of visiting the Nubian Village by motorboat. In the evening, Nubian show on board. Overnight stay.
Day 5 Aswan → Cairo
Breakfast on board. Motorboat visit to the elaborately structured and imposing Temple of Philae, once considered the sacred burial site of Osiris, and the High Dam. Lunch. Afterwards, transfer to Aswan airport and departure for Cairo. Upon arrival, meet the assistant and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Cairo
Day 6 Cairo
After breakfast, departure for Memphis, the first capital of Egypt, to visit the necropolis of Sakkara with the Step Pyramid of Zoser. Lunch at a nearby restaurant and continuation of the tour to the Giza Plateau, with the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus. Following this, visit the Sphinx, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 7 Cairo
After breakfast, the morning is dedicated to the visit of the Egyptian Museum, which houses the richest existing collection of Egyptian antiquities, including the world-famous treasure of Tutankhamun. Lunch in a local restaurant and continuation to the Citadel with its imposing Mosques, including the Mosque of Mohammed Ali, also known as the Alabaster Mosque. Free time for shopping in the great bazaars of Khan El-Khalili, one of the most fascinating markets in the world. Dinner and departure for the Cairo by Night excursion (total duration approx. 3 hours):
During this evening tour, you’ll discover the culture, traditions, and nightlife of Cairo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, exploring the city in a different light. The tour includes a drive through various city districts and a visit to Sadat’s tomb and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, followed by the extraordinary experience of a walk along a medieval Arab street called Al Moez, a key spot to feel the nightlife of Cairo and admire various medieval Islamic buildings. Next is a short tour of downtown Cairo and Tahrir Square, symbol and site of the 2011 revolution, and a walk across a bridge over the Nile, known as the Lovers' Bridge, offering views of the Cairo Tower and the new Opera House.
Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 8 Cairo → Italy
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport in time for the return flight to Italy
General information about the trip
Remember to bring a passport or an ID card that is valid and has an expiration date of at least 6 months from the time of entry into the country. The currency of Egypt is the Egyptian pound
Visas and vaccinations
The visa is obtained with the Passport before departure, costs €30.00, and is handed over upon arrival at the airport by the assistants. With the ID card, it must be filled out upon arrival, after providing two mandatory passport photos (to be brought from Italy). Vaccinations are not required.
