The Castiglione Village & SPA is located in Forio d'Ischia, only 500 meters far from the Sorgeto Bay. It is a three-star facility that perfectly combine relax and thermal therapies (thanks to its efficient beauty farm that offers many different treatments, anti-aging packages, invigorating and detoxifying massages) with the liveliness of a tourist village, thanks to its highly-qualified entertainers that will amuse children and adults in the hotel's amphitheater where shows and games are organized; the facility also has tennis courts, bocce courts, videogame room and gym. The rooms of the Castiglione Village & SPA are located in different buildings surrounded by gardens and mediterranean plants; they are available in three typologies: Standard rooms with window, terrace or balcony; rooms with sea view located on the "Venere" floor and equipped with balcony/terrace overlooking the promontory of Sant'Angelo; Economy rooms, with window with no view, located on the lower floors. Each room is simply furnished and equipped with all the comforts. The Castiglione Village offers its guests a heated outdoor pool (33°C-36°C), a small heated indoor pool (38°C-40°C) with hydromassage and 5 cervical waterfalls, panoramic solarium terraces and an area dedicated to children 4-10 years old with two mineral-water pools.
Locality
Forio d'Ischia is the island's second municipality for population and importance. It is located between two promontories: Punta Caruso and Punta Imperatore, and offers the most beautiful beaches of Ischia in an enchanting landscape that combines the coasts and the vines that adorn the western side of the Mount Epomeo. Forio extends for 13 square km and, thanks to its rocky recesses, it is possible to bathe not only on its sandy beaches, but also in unique places such as the coast of Zaro and the Sorgeto bay, famous for its thermal springs flowing directly from the bottom of the sea at high temperatures (bathing is also possible during the winter). Forio is the municipality that best preserved its historical centre full of alleys, churches and sighting towers that make it the cultural centre of the island. During the '50s it was the favourite destination of many celebrities such as Luchino Visconti, Pierpaolo Pasolini, Sir William Walton, Eduardo de Filippo and artists such as Elsa Morante, Alberto Moravia, Auden, Pablo Neruda and many others.
Places to know and visit
The beach of Citara, characterized by fine sand and shallow water is suitable for children; it has a free area and many private beach clubs.
The beach of La Chiaia, the biggest in Forio, is suitable for families with children thanks to the entertaining services (surcharge required) and to its particularly shallow water. Its white sand and its characteristic bottom right after the rocks make this beach the ideal place for the snorkeling lovers.
The beach of Cava dell'Isola is usually populated by young people who enjoy playing beach volley and beach soccer, and it is the ideal place for those who want to have fun in its crystal-clear water and wild landscape.
The Poseidon Thermal Gardens are the largest and most beautiful pool park in Ischia, with 20 pools, 500 metres of coast, 8000 square meters of beach, 1 wellness centre and 6 hectares of terraces.
Zaro's wood is a suggestive path that links Lacco Ameno to Forio. Famous for its viewpoint on the beach of San Francesco, it is also a place of worship dedicated to the Madonna of Zaro.
Following the main street in the shopping centre of the municipality, it is possible to reach the famous square where the Chiesa del Soccorso is located, from where it is possible to admire the famous Green Flash, only visible in particular periods of the year.
The Chiesa del Soccorso, a church overlooking the sea. Together with the Torrione, it is the symbol of the municipality of Forio and one of the main architectural masterpieces of the island.
Ravino and La Mortella gardens are the perfect places for nature lovers and those who want to know rare subtropical and mediterranean plants. La Mortella Garden was recognized as the most beautiful botanical garden in Italy in 2004.

The restaurant of the Castiglione Village & SPA has different areas. The chefs combine the typical mediterranean cuisine with international flavours and a continental buffet breakfast characterized by croissants, yogurt cakes, jams, butter, sandwiches, wholegrain bread, white bread, tea, coffee, cappuccino, milk, cereals, yogurts, cold cuts, cheese, honey, juices and melba toasts. At lunch and dinner there is a rich buffet table full of vegetables and appetizers beside a menu with three first dishes, three second dishes, side dishes and desserts.
