The Park Hotel Baia delle Sirene is a four-star hotel situated in a wonderful position where the deep blue of the sea meets the light blue of the sky that offers unique emotions during the sunset, when its colors become warm and brigh,t while enjoying the mellifluos sound of the waves crashing on the shore. Its privileged location on the seafront that links the city center to the beach of Citara, allows the guests to take long relaxing walks while admiring the beauty of the coast. The closest beach is Cava dell'Isola, right below the hotel, reachable in a couple of minutes following an internal path. The hotel offers three pools (two mineral-water pools and a hydro-thermal pool) surrounded by a solarium terrace with sunbeds, umbrellas and beach chairs. The guests can take advantage of the healing properties of Ischia's thermal water in a nearby thermal centre associated with the national health service. The rooms of the Park Hotel Baia delle Sirene are all furnished with a maritime style and equipped with every comfort. There are three typologies of room available: Economy rooms with window and internal view, Standard rooms with balcony and internal view, Superior rooms with equipped terrace and sea view.
Locality
Forio d'Ischia is the island's second municipality for population and importance. It is located between two promontories: Punta Caruso and Punta Imperatore, and offers the most beautiful beaches of Ischia in an enchanting landscape that combines the coasts and the vines that adorn the western side of the Mount Epomeo. Forio extends for 13 square km and, thanks to its rocky recesses, it is possible to bathe not only on its sandy beaches, but also in unique places such as the coast of Zaro and the Sorgeto bay, famous for its thermal springs flowing directly from the bottom of the sea at high temperatures (bathing is also possible during the winter). Forio is the municipality that best preserved its historical centre full of alleys, churches and sighting towers that make it the cultural centre of the island. During the '50s it was the favourite destination of many celebrities such as Luchino Visconti, Pierpaolo Pasolini, Sir William Walton, Eduardo de Filippo and artists such as Elsa Morante, Alberto Moravia, Auden, Pablo Neruda and many others.
Places to know and visit
The beach of Citara, characterized by fine sand and shallow water suitable for children; it has a free area and many private beach clubs.
The beach of La Chiaia, the biggest one in Forio, is suitable for families with children thanks to the entertaining services (surcharge required) and to its particularly shallow water. Its white sand and its characteristic bottom right after the rocks make this beach the ideal place for the snorkeling lovers.
The beach of Cava dell'Isola is usually populated by young people who enjoy playing beach volley and beach soccer, and it is the ideal place for those who want to have fun in its crystal-clear water and wild landscape.
The Poseidon Thermal Gardens are the largest and most beautiful pool park in Ischia with 20 pools, 500 metres of coast, 8000 square meters of beach, 1 wellness centre and 6 hectares of terraces.
Zaro's wood is a suggestive path that links the municipality of Lacco Ameno to Forio. Famous for its viewpoint on the beach of San Francesco, it is also a place of worship dedicated to the Madonna of Zaro.
Following the main street in the shopping centre of the municipality, it is possible to reach the famous square where the "Chiesa del Soccorso" is located, from where it is possible to admire the famous Green Flash, only visible in particular periods of the year.
The Chiesa del Soccorso, a church overlooking the sea. Together with the Torrione, it is the symbol of the municipality of Forio and one of the main architectural masterpieces of the island.
Ravino and La Mortella gardens are the perfect places for nature lovers and those who want to know rare subtropical and mediterranean plants. La Mortella Garden was recognized as the most beautiful botanical garden of Italy in 2004.
