A wide and comfortable lobby welcomes the guests of the Grand Hotel Terme di Augusto in an elegant atmosphere. Its wide spaces are meant to confer an aristocratic style to the building in order to make it the ideal destination for a luxurious stay. Antique furnitures and paintings, precious details and fabrics, sofas and armchairs for reading and the piano for concerts will guide the guests in their journey through imperial pleasures and thermal idleness. The most panoramic area is the Roof Garden that overlooks the small harbour of Lacco Ameno. Its position, higher than the surrounding houses and buildings, gives privacy and serenity to the hotel: that is why there is a reserved area for naturists. On the roof garden there is a solarium with sunbeds and beach chairs, a big pool and a flowering pergola where the bar is located, with its wrought-iron tables and chairs. The Grand Hotel Terme di Augusto has four pools with thermal water coming from the famous springs of Lacco Ameno. Two of the pools are outdoors: one with freshwater 23°C-36°C; the other one, very panoramic, with thermal water 34°C-38°C. The other two pools are indoors: the Kneipp path 40°C-17°C and the thermal-water pool 23°C-40°C. The rooms of the hotel are divided into three categories and are equipped with all the comforts: Comfort rooms, on the garden, with view on the Mount Epomeo; Superior rooms, on the park, with view on the pool or the sea; Junior Suite, the bigger and more comfortable rooms with sea view.

Locality
Lacco Ameno is a municipality of Ischia located in the northwestern part of the island, by the sea and at the base of the Mount Epomeo; it is a natural amphitheater on the sea and has the most radioactive thermal waters in the Santa Restituta spring, under the namesake church dedicated to the protector of the entire island. The symbol of Lacco Ameno is "Il Fungo", a rock in the middle of the sea perfectly visible from the main street and from some panoramic viewpoints, made of green tufa and about 10 meters high. "Il Fungo" was born due to an eruption of the Mount Epomeo and, over the years, the erosion process has transformed it into a mushroom-shaped rock, which is why it is so famous. Lacco Ameno is full of archeological findings and sites that are definitely worth visiting.

Places to know and visit
The San Montano Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches of the island, thanks to its particular bottom full of flora and fauna and to the many inlets like "Varulo". The beach has a public zone and a private area where it is possible to rent sunbeds, beach chairs and umbrellas.

The Museum and the Excavation of Santa Restituta, a few meters far from the hotel. The site is right beneath the church dedicated to the saint, and it represents the most important historical/cultural attraction of the island thanks to the many important findings and testimonies of the Christian age in Ischia.

The museum of "Villa Arbusto", a greek museum with beautiful artifacts from the VIII century B.C., when the island was colonized by the citizens of the ancient Greece that founded the city of Pithecusae, famous for its important commercial ability. In the museum of "Villa Arbusto" there are many terracotta objects that show how life was at the time of Pithecusae: the most important one is the Nestore Cup, decorated with the most ancient and well-kept inscription in greek language, the first testimony in the entire Mediterranean sea.

The Negombo Thermal Park, one of the most beautiful thermal parks in Ischia, set in the San Montano Bay. It offers pools, sauna, beach, wellness and thermal centre, bar, restaurants and a museum.

The amazing Zaro's wood, a path that links Lacco Ameno to the municipality of Forio, is also a place of worship dedicated to the famous Madonna di Zaro that attracts pilgrims from all over Italy and the world every year.

The shopping centre is only 400 metres far from the hotel and there are many shops where tourists can buy souvenir and typical products, elegant boutiques, typical local shops, lounge bars, coffee shops and panoramic restaurants with an amazing view on the famous "Fungo", symbol of Lacco Ameno.

The best way possible to start the day is by sitting at a lovely round table with a light tablecloth and precious crockery, and enjoy a "petit dejenuer" with croissants, fresh fruit juices and an excellent coffee. At lunch and dinner, the guests can enjoy the mix between land and sea products cooked in a traditional way, discovering the most genuine ingredients (fresh fish or fresh fruit). "La Colombaia" of the Grand Hotel Terme di Augusto is the area dedicated to dances and parties with its wide hall surrounded by glass windows and a big porch full of light. Among the many events organized in "La Colombaia" there are: the Augustus Party, an exclusive evening in costume with music from the imperial age; Ciao Ischia, a full immersion in the traditional tastes of the islands, such as the typical "coniglio di fossa"; Viva Bacco, an evening dedicated to the Gods' nectare, the most precious wines from the cellars of Ischia and live music; Carosello Napoletano: the most beautiful neapolitan melodies (real poems loved all around the world) that made history, in a romantic gala-themed evening.
