After breakfast, departure for an excursion to Gobustan, home to an extraordinary site with numerous Neolithic rock carvings. Over 4,000 inscriptions dating back more than 12,000 years can be admired, along with Latin graffiti (1st century AD) and rock paintings depicting hunting scenes and ritual dances.

Continue to the Mud Volcanoes, one of Azerbaijan’s natural wonders, where over 100 volcanoes create a lunar landscape. Visit the Bibiheybat Mosque. Lunch in a local restaurant.

Return to Baku. Arrival in the Old City and visit of its main landmarks: caravanserais, St. Bartholomew’s Church remains, old hammam, Maiden Tower, ancient mosques and the Palace of the Shirvanshahs. Free dinner and overnight in Baku.

After breakfast, departure to the Absheron Peninsula with arrival at Atashgah, the fire temple located in the village of Surakhani, still an important religious site for fire worshippers. Continue with a visit to Yanardagh (burning mountain), one of the most remarkable natural wonders of Azerbaijan.

Lunch at a local restaurant. Return to Baku with a stop at the stunning Cultural Center designed by Zaha Hadid (entrance not included) to admire its impressive futuristic architecture. Nearby, visit the Yashil Bazar (Green Market). Arrival at the hotel, free dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, departure to Sheki, an important city along the Silk Road. Stop in Mereze to visit the Diri Baba Mausoleum, a Sufi sanctuary built into a natural cave and a pilgrimage site.

Arrival in Sheki and lunch along the way. Transfer to the village of Kish to visit an important early Christian church, dating from the 1st to the 5th century AD, linked to ancient Caucasian Albania. Overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast, guided visit of the charming Khan’s Palace, admiring its refined decorations. Then visit the Artisans House and the Caravanserai in the city of Sheki.

Departure for the Lagodekhi border between Georgia and Azerbaijan. After completing border formalities, change of guide and transport.

Continue to the Kakheti region, the wine region of Georgia, known for its excellent wine and outstanding hospitality. Lunch at a local winery.

Then visit the impressive citadel of Gremi, capital of the Kakheti kingdom in the 16th and 17th centuries.

After breakfast, we begin the day with a visit to the Georgian capital Tbilisi, a fascinating city where ancient and modern elements blend harmoniously.

In the morning, we explore key landmarks: the Metekhi Church (13th century) and the Narikala Fortress (4th century), offering panoramic views over the city.

Continue to the famous Sulfur Baths, still in use, the Sioni Cathedral and the Anchiskhati Basilica, the oldest church in Tbilisi, dating back to the 6th century.

After lunch, visit the National Museum of Georgia, home to important archaeological artifacts.

Finally, enjoy a pleasant walk along Rustaveli Avenue, the city’s main street, with iconic buildings such as the Rustaveli Theatre and the Tbilisi Opera.

After breakfast, departure north along the legendary Georgian Military Road. Arrival in Stepantsminda (1,750 m), dominated to the west by the snow-capped Mount Kazbegi (5,047 m), where the iconic silhouette of the Sameba church stands out.

Ascent by 4x4 minivan to the 14th-century Trinity Church at 2,170 m, an iconic symbol of Georgia, set in a breathtaking natural landscape. Lunch along the way.

During the journey, stop at the Ananuri Complex (17th century), an ancient fortress, and at the panoramic viewpoint of Gudauri, offering stunning views over the Caucasus mountains.

Visit two important UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Jvari Church, located on a panoramic hill overlooking the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers, and the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, an architectural masterpiece which, according to tradition, houses Christ’s robe.

Continue to Gori, birthplace of Stalin, with a short stop at the museum dedicated to him, offering insight into his life and historical role. In the afternoon, continue to Uplistsikhe, the oldest rock-hewn city in Georgia, founded in the 1st millennium BC along a branch of the Silk Road. The visit reveals its unique rock-cut architecture and ancient history.

After breakfast, start of the tour around Yerevan. Several attractions will be visited, including Republic Square, Mashtots Avenue, the Opera House dedicated to Aram Khachaturian and the scenic Cascade. Visit to Tsitsernakaberd, the Armenian Genocide Memorial. Continue to Echmiadzin.

Along the way, stop to explore the ruins of the Zvartnots Cathedral (7th century), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then visit the Echmiadzin Cathedral, a place of deep spirituality symbolizing Armenia as the first nation to adopt Christianity as a state religion. Today, Echmiadzin is the spiritual seat of the Catholicos and the center of the Armenian Apostolic Church.

After breakfast, departure for the visit to the Khor Virap Monastery, linked to Gregory the Illuminator, who introduced Christianity to Armenia. It remains an important pilgrimage site and offers stunning views of Mount Ararat.

Continue to the Noravank Monastery (“New Monastery”), a 13th-century religious center set in a spectacular landscape of red rock cliffs. The gavit of the main church is particularly remarkable, designed by the famous architect and sculptor Momik, with structural solutions that made it resistant to earthquakes.

After lunch, visit to the Areni Cave, where extraordinary findings related to winemaking dating back to 4100 BC were discovered, considered among the oldest evidence of viticulture in the world. The experience continues with a stop at a local winery to taste traditional regional wines. Return to Yerevan and overnight stay.

After breakfast, departure for Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater alpine lakes in the world. The lake is also famous for its peninsula and its medieval churches built in 874. Continue to the Garni Temple, a remarkable monument from the Hellenistic period and an outstanding example of ancient Armenian architecture. It was built in the 1st century AD and is dedicated to the Sun God. Near the temple, you can see the ruins of the royal palace and the baths with a spectacular mosaic.

Traditional Armenian lunch (during lunch, you will see the preparation of Lavash, the famous Armenian bread).

Departure for the rock-hewn Geghard Monastery, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Geghard means “spear” in Armenian, referring to the one that pierced Christ during the Crucifixion, and it is an outstanding masterpiece of 13th-century Armenian architecture. The journey continues to the Garni Gorge, a unique natural monument known as the “Basalt Organ” for its perfect symmetry. Return to the capital. Free dinner and overnight stay in Yerevan.
