Day 1 Italy ✈ Baku
Arrival at Baku International Airport. Welcome by our Tour leader and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel Middletown (or similar) in Baku.

After breakfast, departure for the excursion to Gobustan, an extraordinary archaeological site famous for its Neolithic rock carvings. Here you can admire over 4,000 inscriptions, dating back more than 12,000 years, including Latin graffiti from the 1st century AD and fascinating rock paintings depicting hunting scenes and ritual dances.
Continuation to the evocative area of the Mud Volcanoes, one of the most surprising natural wonders of Azerbaijan. In this area there are over 100 volcanoes of different heights, giving the landscape an incredible lunar appearance.
Visit to the Bibiheybat Mosque. Lunch at a restaurant and return to Baku. Arrival in the Old City (Icherisheher) and visit of the main historical monuments: ancient caravanserais, the remains of the Church of Saint Bartholomew, the old hammam, the famous Maiden Tower and the majestic Palace of the Shirvanshahs. Free dinner and overnight stay in a hotel in Baku.

After breakfast, departure for the Absheron Peninsula with a visit to Atashgah, the famous Fire Temple located in the village of Surakhani, still a symbolic place for fire worshippers.
Continuation to Yanardagh, the “Burning Mountain”, one of the most spectacular natural phenomena in Azerbaijan. Lunch at a restaurant and return to Baku.
Photo stop at the magnificent Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center, designed by architect Zaha Hadid (entrance not included), to admire its iconic and futuristic architecture. This is followed by a visit to the lively Yashil Bazar (Green Market).
Arrival at the hotel, free dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, departure for Sheki, one of the most important cities along the historic Silk Road. During the journey, stop in the village of Mereze to visit the evocative Diri Baba Mausoleum, a mystical Sufi site where, according to tradition, the body buried in 1402 remained miraculously intact. The sanctuary, built within a natural rock cavity, has become an important pilgrimage destination over the centuries.
Arrival in Sheki and lunch along the route. Afterwards transfer to the village of Kish to visit an important early Christian church, built between the 1st and 5th centuries AD, when Christianity spread in the region then known as Caucasian Albania. Overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, guided visit of the magnificent Khan’s Palace of Sheki, renowned for its rich artistic decorations. This is followed by a visit to the House of Craftsmen and the historic Sheki Caravanserai.
Departure for the Azerbaijan–Georgia border at Lagodekhi. After customs formalities, change of guide and vehicle and continuation to the Kakheti wine region, famous for its excellent Georgian wine and warm hospitality. Lunch at a local winery.
In the afternoon, visit the impressive Gremi Citadel, former capital of the Kingdom of Kakheti between the 16th and 17th centuries. At the end of the visits, transfer to Tbilisi, hotel check-in and overnight stay.

After breakfast, we will start the day with a visit to the Georgian capital Tbilisi, a charming city that harmoniously blends historic and modern elements. During the morning, we will discover some of its most significant landmarks: the Metekhi Church (13th century) and the evocative Narikala Fortress (4th century), offering a splendid panoramic view of the city.
We will continue with the famous Tbilisi Sulfur Baths, still active today, the Sioni Cathedral, and the historic Anchiskhati Basilica, the oldest church in the city dating back to the 6th century.
After lunch, visit to the Georgian National Museum, home to important archaeological artifacts that tell the millennia-old history of the region. In the afternoon, pleasant walk along Rustaveli Avenue, the city’s main street, where symbolic buildings such as the City Hall, the Viceroy’s Palace, the Rustaveli Theatre, and the Opera House are located.
Free dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, departure north along the spectacular Georgian Military Highway, one of the most fascinating panoramic routes in the country. Arrival in Stepantsminda (1,750 m), dominated to the west by the snow-capped peak of Mount Kazbek (5,047 m), where the unmistakable silhouette of the Gergeti Sameba Church stands out.
Ascent by 4x4 minivan to the evocative Gergeti Trinity Church (2,170 m), dating back to the 14th century. Its isolated position on a steep mountain surrounded by breathtaking landscapes makes it one of the most iconic symbols of Georgia.
Lunch along the route. During the journey stop at the Ananuri Complex (17th century), an ancient fortress that witnessed numerous battles, and at the Gudauri Viewpoint, offering splendid views over the Caucasus Mountains.
At the end of the visits return to Tbilisi. Free dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, departure for Mtskheta, the ancient capital and an important religious center of Georgia. Here we will visit two remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the scenic Jvari Church, located on a hill overlooking the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers, and the majestic Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, an architectural masterpiece that, according to tradition, preserves the Robe of Christ.
Continuation to Gori, birthplace of Stalin, with a short stop at the Stalin Museum, offering insight into his life and historical role in the country.
In the afternoon, continuation to Uplistsikhe, the oldest rock-hewn city in Georgia, founded in the 1st millennium BC along a branch of the historic Silk Road. The visit reveals its fascinating rock-carved architecture and the region’s ancient history.
Lunch along the route. At the end of the visits return to Tbilisi. Free dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel and free time until the transfer to the airport, scheduled according to the flight times (check-out by 12:00 PM).
