Briatico is an enchanting beach locality on the "Costa degli Dei", in the province of Vibo Valentia, famous for its seafront with view on the Gulf of Lamezia Terme and the Eolie islands. Briatico's sandy shores are the most beautiful beaches in Calabria, with cliffs and suggestive bays such as the beaches of Trainiti, San Giuseppe and Sant'Irene, the Safò bay and the Cocca cliff.

Briatico was born as a fishermen hamlet but, currently, its tourist industry is quickly developing thanks to the presence of villages, hotels, beach clubs and restaurants. Its ancient gastronomic tradition is characterized by olive oil, red onions and prickly pears, local wine and fish soup, swordfish and grilled tuna.
