Cortina d'Ampezzo is an Italian town in the province of Belluno, in Veneto, well-known winter and summer resort, as well as the scene of many sporting events of international importance related to the mountains and winter sports. Lying along the Ampezzo Valley, a wide and sunny valley, it is surrounded by majestic peaks including six peaks over 3000 meters. Cortina, nicknamed the "Queen of the Dolomites", is one of the most prestigious and famous mountain destinations in the Alps. Magical in winter, regenerating in summer, surprising out of season, deserves to be seen at any time of the year: its rich old town and breathtaking landscapes never cease to amaze.

How to get to Cortina d'Ampezzo by car

From the north: take the A22 Brennero motorway (from Modena to Innsbruck) to Bressanone, about 90km away from the resort, then through the "Val Pusteria" to Dobbiaco and then to Cortina d'Ampezzo in about 30 minutes
From the south: along the A27 motorway (from Venice to Belluno). For the last 60 km you need to drive along the road "Alemagna" through the valley of Longarone and Cadore. It will take almost an hour.
Both motorways are interconnected with the main A4 motorway that passes through the "Po valley" from Trieste to Turin passing Venice, Verona and Milan.
