Courmayeur

is an alpine town at the foot of Mont Blanc, in the Aosta Valley, and the second largest municipality in the region by territorial extension. The climate is mainly alpine, with short, cool summers and cold, snowy winters. Known for the SkyWay Monte Bianco cable car which offers a spectacular view of the peaks of Monte Cervino and Monte Rosa. To visit the Saussurea Alpine Botanical Garden as it hosts medicinal plants and high altitude plants as well as beautiful alpine pastures. The town center houses the Duca degli Abruzzi Alpine Museum.
