The authentic mediterranean tradition is always present in all the typical dishes for  Hotel Michelangelo's guests, full of maritime and paesant culture, another ingredient that can never miss is the authenticity of products, all locals of course. The speciality of this kitchen can be tasted in the two restaurants of the hotel. For a coffee break and fresh drinks there are two bars, and during the evening, everyday, there is a pianobar. 

Locality
Lacco Ameno is a municipality of Ischia located in the north-west part of the island, along the sea and the slopes of Mount Epomeo, it's a very natural amphitheater over the sea and has the most radioactive thermal waters in Santa Restituta, Patron Saint of the entire island. The symbol of Lacco Ameno is "Il Fungo", a rock in the middle of the sea perfectly visible from the main street and some lookout, made of green tufa and it's circa 10 meters high. "Il Fungo" was born due to an eruption of the Mount Epomeo and over the years it's been transformed in the form of a mushroom, that's the reason of its notoriety. Lacco Ameno is rich of archaeological discoveries, definetely worth a visit.

Places to visit
San Montano bay is one of the most beautiful beach of the island, thanks to the particular backdrop rich of flora and fauna and for the different inlets like "Varulo". The beach has a public zone and a private one, where is possible to rent sunbeds, deckchairs and beach-umbrellas.

The museum and the excavation of Santra Restituta are a few meters far from the hotel, right under the church dedicated to the saint, represent the most important hystorical/cultural attraction of the island with all the hystorical artifacts from the Early Christian era.

The museum of "Villa Arbusto" is a greek old museum with beautiful artifacts from the VIII century B.C., in this era the island was colonized by the citizens of the ancient Greek who founded the city of Pithecusa, famous for its important commercial capacity. In the museum of "Villa Arbusto" there are many objects from the era of Pithecusa, the most important is the Nestore Cup, with the oldest decoration in greek language of all Mediterranean.

Negombo Thermal Park is one of the most beautiful thermal park of Ischia, offers pools, sauna, beach, spa, bar, restaurant and a museum.

The amazing Zaro's wood, is a path that links Lacco Ameno with the municipality of Forio, but it's also a place of cult for the famous and worshiped Madonna of Zaro, and every year attracts pilgrims from all over Italy and the world.

The centre is only 400 metres far and there are many shops where people can buy souvenirs and typical products, local little shops, lounge bar, cafes and restaurants with an amazing view over Lacco Ameno.
