Marina di Sorso

Marina di Sorso is the marine area of the municipality of Sorso, in the province of Sassari, on the northern coast of Sardinia in the Gulf of Asinara. This mediterranean gem has a wonderful white sandy shore surrounded by a flourishing vegetation made of junipers, pines and palm trees and touched by crystal-clear water. During the summer, the tourists can appreciate breathtaking sunsets on the island of Asinara.

A visit to the suggestive historical centre of Marina di Sorso, full of evidences of the roman and fenici civilizations, cannot be missed; for example, there is the Billellera fountain: according to the legend, whoever drank its water became crazy.
