Hotel Basiliani is located just 800 metres from the historic centre of Otranto, one of the most renowned destinations in Salento, and stands out for its spacious pergolas, outdoor terraces, paths, and walkways set into the stone, in perfect harmony with the typical local architecture. Among the main facilities of the property are an outdoor swimming pool equipped with umbrellas and sun loungers, a restaurant with an outdoor terrace, 3 bars, a roof garden, private parking, a baby park, piano bar entertainment during selected periods, 6 meeting rooms, and the renowned “Il Melograno” wellness centre, the largest in Salento, offering massages, treatments, and wellness programmes (access allowed for guests aged 16 and over).
The offer is completed by beach service at an affiliated sandy beach club in Alimini, about 10 km away, with shuttle service to/from the beach included upon reservation, as well as the possibility to arrange transfers, excursions, and car and bike rental. Thanks to its strategic location, guests can easily visit some of the most charming attractions in the area, such as the Bauxite Cave, Otranto’s historic centre, the Alimini beaches, Punta Palascìa, and Lecce.
Basiliani Resort: Rooms
Hotel Basiliani offers 128 elegant and refined rooms, equipped with every comfort and available in different categories. The Standard Rooms (1/2 beds), consisting of a single room, some with balcony or patio, are located adjacent to the main building and can be reached via an outdoor path, lift, or stairs. The Superior Rooms (2/4 beds), located in the main building, feature a double bed with an additional single bed or bunk bed; many have a balcony and most enjoy pool views.
Also available are Suites with two separate areas (2/4 beds), consisting of an entrance room with sofa bed and a double bedroom, and Suites with whirlpool bath (2+1 beds), in a single room, with an in-room whirlpool bath and dedicated exclusive services. Among the Superior Rooms, 2 are equipped for guests with disabilities. All accommodations are equipped with air conditioning, telephone, TV, Wi-Fi, safe, minibar (stocked on request), and bathroom with shower and shower enclosure.
Basiliani Resort: Beauty & SPA
The “Il Melograno” wellness centre, with its 2,000 sqm, is one of the real highlights of Hotel Basiliani and is considered the largest in Salento. It is an exclusive environment dedicated to relaxation and well-being, featuring numerous massage rooms, a SPA SUITE for couples, a sun shower, a wet area with 3 heated indoor pools at different temperatures, including one measuring 220 sqm with hydromassage loungers and a hydromassage area, Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, aromarium, emotional showers, hammam room, and a relaxation area with herbal tea corner. Swimsuits and beauty products are also available at the wellness centre reception. Access to the SPA is allowed for guests aged 16 and over. Indicative opening hours: from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Basiliani Resort Restaurant
The refined “Gli Ulivi” restaurant at Basiliani Resort features a large air-conditioned indoor dining room with bar and an outdoor terrace, partially covered, next to the pool where, in addition to a rich sweet and savoury buffet breakfast, guests can enjoy dinner with a tempting menu featuring typical Apulian cuisine, as well as national and international dishes. The available board basis is Half Board with water in a carafe included or Bed & Breakfast, depending on the option previously selected. For guests with coeliac disease, in addition to the buffet, basic products such as bread, pasta and biscuits are available; a vegan menu is also available. Products for other intolerances are not guaranteed.
