Departure for the guided tour of the city with its wide avenues and squares, evidence of when it was the capital of one of the largest empires in the world (Brazil, Angola, Mozambique, Goa/India, Macau/China, Timor...). We will visit the Belém neighborhood with the Tower and the monument to the Discoveries, the Monastero de los Jerónimos (visit inside the optional cloister) a masterpiece of Gothic ‘Manueline’. Continuation of the panoramic visit of the city, passing through the Parliament and the splendid Eduardo VII park. In the afternoon, visit the historic center: walk through the Alfama neighborhood, the oldest in the city, visit the 12th century Cathedral and the Church of Santo Antonio, built on the birthplace of the Saint, the central neighborhood of Baixa Pombalina and the Praca do Comercio with the splendid view of the majestic mouth of the Tagus. Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Óbidos, visit to the medieval village with its walls and alleys (12th century), perfectly preserved, which can be considered an open-air museum. Continue to Alcobaca, an important Cistercian monastery. Inside the church we will visit the spectacular tombs of the Portuguese Romeo and Juliet, King Pedro I and his lover Ines de Castro (appointed queen after his death). Continue to Nazaré, a typical fishing village from where you can enjoy a splendid view of the Atlantic. Subsequently, stop in Batalha to visit the magnificent 14th century monastery, built with a perfect combination of Gothic and 'Manueline' art. Continue to Fatima and orientation visit to the Marian Sanctuary, which attracts millions of pilgrims from all over the world, which was built after the famous apparitions.
