Marina di Cardedu is located in the municipality of Cardedu, easily reachable following the panoramic state highway 125; after Bari Sardo there are the road signs that lead to the church of Nostra Signora del Buoncammino and then, crossing a bridge, to the beach with white sand and pebbles and crystal-clear waters surrounded by a flourishing green vegetation.
Cardedu is a recently-built centre and that is the reason why there are no historical buildings. However, it is full of archeological sites: the Perda e Pera nuraghe, the Domus de Janas in the locality of Cucuddadas and a majestic sacred well called "Su Presoneddu", which is still intact but completely abandoned since the local administration does not consider it as a source of pride despite its archeological importance, and now it risks being ruined by the actions of time and vandals.
