The 7-day Tenerife tour explores the volcanic landscapes of Mount Teide, Los Gigantes cliffs and the historic towns of La Laguna, Santa Cruz and Puerto de la Cruz. Arrival at the hotel. Meeting with the other participants and the tour leader at 7:30 p.m. or at 10:00 a.m. the following morning.

Breakfast. Free day to enjoy the island’s “eternal spring” climate, either by strolling along the nearby black-sand Playa de la Arena or relaxing by the hotel’s various swimming pools. The hotel offers a wide programme of daytime and evening entertainment. It is time to unwind!

Breakfast. At 9:00 a.m., departure for the Los Gigantes cliffs, where nature reminds us how small we are. The ascent will reveal a remarkable change in vegetation, from the subtropical zone to the alpine forests, before reaching Las Cañadas del Teide. Here stands the icon of the Canary Islands, the sacred mountain of the island’s indigenous inhabitants and the highest peak in Spain (3,718 metres): Mount Teide.

A lunar landscape, used as a filming location for numerous space-themed productions, awaits us. Colours, vegetation and wildlife provide the setting for the majestic Mount Teide.

The route continues down the northern side of the island, surrounded by green forests and the blue sea, until reaching Puerto de la Cruz.

Short visit to the main tourist destination in northern Tenerife.

Day 4 Puerto de la Cruz – Santa Cruz de Tenerife – San Cristóbal de La Laguna – Puerto de la Cruz

Breakfast. Today, we will enjoy a panoramic tour of Santa Cruz, the capital of Tenerife, exploring its busy port and lively pedestrian streets.

We will continue to San Cristóbal de La Laguna, the island’s first historic capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its monumental centre is considered the most important on the island. Walking through its historic centre feels like travelling back four centuries, when the model of the Spanish colonial house was reproduced throughout Latin America. As a vibrant university city, it is also filled with youthful energy. Its scenic panoramic viewpoints are well worth visiting.

Return to Puerto de la Cruz, where we will walk down the Agatha Christie Steps, dedicated to the writer who had a curious connection with the city. Each step bears the title of one of her famous detective novels.

Return to the hotel.

Day 5 Puerto de la Cruz – Orotava Valley – Icod de los Vinos – Garachico – Southern Tenerife (Puerto Santiago)

Breakfast. Day dedicated to exploring northern Tenerife, beginning with the Orotava Valley, which opens like a panoramic balcony over a colourful landscape with the sea in the background.

Continue to Icod de los Vinos to see the Drago Milenario, an iconic tree of the Canary Islands. Declared a National Monument, it is estimated to be around 900 years old.

Continue to Garachico for a short stop at its small harbour, distinguished by minimalist sculptures dedicated to the sea.
