After breakfast, we will begin the day with a visit to the Georgian capital, Tbilisi, a charming city where ancient and modern elements blend harmoniously. In the morning, we will explore some of its most iconic landmarks: the Metekhi Church (13th century) and the Narikala Fortress (4th century), offering a stunning panoramic view over the city. We will continue to the famous Sulphur Baths, still in operation, the Sioni Cathedral, and the Anchiskhati Basilica, the oldest church in Tbilisi, dating back to the 6th century.

After lunch, we will visit the Georgian National Museum, home to important archaeological treasures that tell the story of the region. Finally, we will enjoy a pleasant walk along Rustaveli Avenue, the city’s main boulevard, where iconic buildings such as the City Hall, the former Viceroy’s Palace, the Rustaveli Theatre, and the Opera House are located. After breakfast, departure north along the legendary Georgian Military Highway. Arrival in Stepantsminda (1,750 m), dominated to the west by the snow-capped Mount Kazbegi (5,047 m), where the iconic silhouette of the Gergeti Trinity Church stands out. Ascent by 4x4 minivan to the 14th-century Gergeti Trinity Church at 2,170 m. Its isolated position atop a steep mountain, surrounded by vast natural landscapes, makes it a true symbol of Georgia.

Lunch along the way. During the journey, stop at the Ananuri Complex (17th century), an ancient fortress that witnessed numerous battles, and at the Gudauri Panorama Monument, offering breathtaking views over the Caucasus Mountains. Return to Tbilisi. Free dinner. Overnight in hotel in Tbilisi.

After breakfast, departure for Mtskheta, the ancient capital and religious center of Georgia. Here we will visit two important UNESCO World Heritage sites: the Jvari Church, located on a panoramic hill overlooking the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers, and the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, an architectural masterpiece which, according to tradition, houses the Tunic of Christ.

Continuation to Gori, birthplace of Stalin, with a short stop at the museum dedicated to him, offering insight into his life and role in the country’s history. In the afternoon, continuation to Uplistsikhe, the oldest cave city in Georgia, founded in the 1st millennium BC and located along a branch of the Silk Road. The visit allows you to discover its unique rock-hewn architecture and immerse yourself in the ancient history of the region. Lunch along the route. Return to Tbilisi. Free dinner and overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast, departure for David Gareja, a rock-hewn religious complex founded in the 6th century by David, one of the thirteen Assyrian Fathers. In an almost desert-like region, visit the main monastery, the Lavra, set in breathtaking landscapes stretching toward Azerbaijan.

Continue with a visit to a traditional winery, including a wine tasting and lunch featuring local specialties. Afterwards, transfer to the Bodbe Monastery, home to the relics of Saint Nino, a place of deep spirituality.

The day ends with a visit to Sighnaghi, known as the “City of Love”, with its cobbled streets and panoramic views over the Alazani Valley. Return to Tbilisi, free dinner and overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast, departure to explore the Samtskhe-Javakheti region. First stop at the Chronicles of Georgia Monument, symbolically depicting the country’s historical and religious events and offering a beautiful panoramic view over Tbilisi Sea.

Continue to Borjomi, famous for its mineral waters, with a short stop, cable car ride and a walk in the Central Park, surrounded by nature and the atmosphere of this spa town. The journey continues to Akhaltsikhe, where you will visit the Rabati Castle, a medieval complex featuring fortresses, mosques, churches and palaces, reflecting the diverse cultures that have influenced the region.

After breakfast, departure to visit the cave city of Vardzia (12th century), one of the most fascinating sites in Georgia. Founded in the 12th century as both a religious and secular city, it represents one of the finest examples of Georgia’s Golden Age, featuring a stone church with well-preserved frescoes, wine cellars, refectories and hundreds of dwellings.

Along the way, a short stop at the Khertvisi Fortress (10th century), which played a vital defensive role in the region thanks to its strategic position. Lunch at a local farmhouse.
