Tour description

Angkor Express is a 4-day tour dedicated to discovering Siem Reap and the great archaeological complexes of Angkor, combining ancient Khmer temples, historical heritage and the landscapes of Tonle Sap Lake.

After arriving in Siem Reap, the journey enters the heart of Cambodia's archaeological heritage with a full day dedicated to Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom. The visit includes Bayon, famous for its carved faces, Phimeanakas, the area of the former Royal Palace, the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King.

The itinerary continues to the Roluos Group, in ancient Hariharalaya, with the temples of Preah Ko, Lolei and Bakong, important examples of Khmer architecture predating the great complexes of Angkor.

The journey then reaches Ta Prohm, where trees and roots embrace the temple structures, and Pre Rup, before continuing to Tonle Sap Lake. A boat trip offers the opportunity to discover the floating village of Kampong Phluk, while the day concludes with dinner accompanied by a traditional Apsara dance performance.

A short and focused itinerary combining Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, Roluos, Ta Prohm and Tonle Sap, designed to discover some of the most representative sites around Siem Reap in four days, with a local Italian-speaking guide during the visits included in the programme.
