    Arrival at Hanoi Airport and transfer to the city center with hotel accommodation (check-in from 2:00 PM). Free time for relaxation or a first exploration of the city. Dinner on your own and overnight stay at the hotel in Hanoi.

    Day dedicated to discovering Hanoi, the economic and cultural capital of Vietnam. Visit the Temple of Literature, dedicated to Confucius and scholars, and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.* Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Ethnology Museum and enjoy a cyclo ride around Hoan Kiem Lake and through the narrow streets of the colonial quarter.     *For departures in 2027, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum will be visited from the outside only. The visit will then continue with Ho Chi Minh’s historic stilt house and the One Pillar Pagoda.

    After breakfast, departure to Mai Chau, a picturesque valley surrounded by rice fields and mountains. Arrival and lunch at a homestay. In the afternoon, enjoy a bicycle excursion through the traditional villages of Cha Long and Na Tang, inhabited for generations by the White Thai, Muong, and Tay ethnic groups. In the evening, enjoy a local folk music show and taste the traditional fermented rice wine, "Can", sipped through typical bamboo straws. Dinner on your own and overnight stay at a hotel in Mai Chau.

    After breakfast, departure to Ninh Binh, one of Vietnam’s most fascinating destinations, famous for its historical relics and majestic limestone peaks. Transfer to Tam Coc, known as the "Halong Bay on land", where rocky formations rise among vast rice fields instead of from the sea. Visit the temples of the Dinh and Le Kings, then take a traditional boat trip to explore the enchanting caves of Tam Coc. In the afternoon, enjoy a pleasant bicycle excursion to Bich Dong Pagoda. Return to the hotel, dinner on your own, and overnight stay at the hotel.

    After breakfast, departure for the famous Halong Bay (Vinh Ha Long), a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you can admire the magnificent rural scenery along the way. Arrival in Vinh Ha Long in the late morning and embarkation on a traditional junk for an unforgettable cruise among limestone islets and emerald waters. During the cruise, visit fascinating and mysterious caves that feature in ancient local legends. Lunch and dinner with seafood and fish specialties served on board.     After breakfast, disembark from the junk and depart by sampan to visit the famous caves of Halong Bay, among the most enchanting in Vietnam. Brunch served on board during the return cruise. Late in the morning, transfer to Hanoi and continuation to the airport for the flight to Da Nang. Arrival and transfer to the picturesque city of Hoi An.     After breakfast, departure for the village of Tra Que, renowned for its organic cultivation of aromatic herbs. Introduction to the village’s history and traditional farming techniques, with the opportunity to take part in the daily activities of local farmers: soil preparation, planting, watering, and harvesting. Continue to the village of Cam Thanh and board a traditional boat to explore the Bay Mau Water Coconut Forest, a 7-hectare area of mangroves, canals, and coconut-leaf-roofed houses. You will have the chance to paddle in a basket boat alongside local residents, followed by a relaxing herbal foot massage and a traditional cooking class. Lunch with regional specialties in Hoi An.     After breakfast, departure for Hue, travelling through the Hai Van Tunnel (journey time approximately 3 hours). Upon arrival in Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam under the Nguyen Dynasty (1802–1945), you will discover a city renowned as the "City of Peace and Poetry" for its romantic charm and remarkable historical monuments.

    Visit the Imperial Citadel (Forbidden Purple City), followed by boarding a traditional boat for a cruise along the picturesque Perfume River (not available for 2027 departures). Stop at the Thien Mu Pagoda, also known as the Pagoda of the Celestial Lady, and continue with a visit to the Tomb of Emperor Khai Dinh (for 2027 departures, the Tomb of Emperor Tu Duc will be visited instead) and the traditional Thuy Xuan Incense Village. Free dinner and overnight at the hotel.

    After breakfast, transfer to Hue Airport for the direct flight to Saigon. Arrival and meeting with the local guide. In the afternoon, visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, located about 50 km northwest of Ho Chi Minh City. This complex underground system, stretching over 250 km, was built by local inhabitants during the war with the Americans and stands as an extraordinary testament to ingenuity and resilience. Lunch at a local restaurant. Return to Saigon, dinner on your own, and overnight stay at the hotel.

    1. Excursion to Ben Tre – Mekong Delta
    After breakfast, departure for Ben Tre, the coconut capital of Vietnam, located in the heart of the Mekong Delta. Arrival at the Ham Luong or Chet Say pier and transfer by local boat along the scenic river canals. During the cruise, you’ll observe lively local activities, traditional fishing, irrigation systems, and the daily life of the Mekong people. Visit a traditional brick kiln to see the artisanal production process, and stop to enjoy fresh coconut water on the way to the Cai Son canal, surrounded by the lush water coconut forest.

    Visit small workshops where handmade coconut products and coconut candies are produced, with the chance to taste tropical seasonal fruits. Continue by boat and take a short walk to a local mat-weaving house. Ride a xe loi (a local vehicle similar to a tuk-tuk) through the authentic countryside of Ben Tre, far from the tourist routes, among plantations and exotic fruits. Lunch at a local restaurant with typical Vietnamese dishes, then return to Saigon. Dinner on your own and overnight stay at the hotel.

    2. Saigon City Tour – Ho Chi Minh City
    After breakfast, departure for a guided visit of Saigon, today known as Ho Chi Minh City, the economic and cultural heart of Vietnam. The first stop is the War Remnants Museum, which tells the story of the Vietnam War, followed by the lively Binh Tay Market and the historic Cho Lon district, the largest Chinatown in Vietnam, inhabited for generations by overseas Chinese.

    In the afternoon, visit the Thien Hau Pagoda and the Reunification Palace (formerly the Independence Palace), which once served as both the home and office of the president of South Vietnam during the war. Continue with visits to the iconic Central Post Office and the famous Ben Thanh Market, the beating heart of Saigon. Return to the hotel, dinner on your own, and overnight stay.

  • Day 11 Sai Gon → Italy

    Free time for shopping or a final personal exploration of Saigon before the transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport for the return flight to Italy. (The room will be available until noon)
