Tour description
Postcards from Vietnam is a 7-day tour dedicated to the landscapes and communities of Northern Vietnam, following an itinerary through mountains, rice fields, rural villages, karst formations and Halong Bay.
From Hanoi, the journey leads to Mai Chau, where a bicycle ride passes through the villages of Cha Long and Na Tang, home to White Thai, Muong and Tay communities. The journey continues to Pu Luong, with trekking through Kho Muong village and walks around Don and Hieu, surrounded by terraced rice fields and the region's mountain landscapes.
The next stage reaches Tam Coc, in the Ninh Binh region, known for its limestone formations and waterways winding through the rice fields. A boat trip explores the area's caves, while the climb to Hang Mua offers panoramic views over the surrounding landscape.
The itinerary continues to Halong Bay, with an overnight cruise aboard a traditional junk, before returning to Hanoi, where the journey concludes with visits to some of the capital's historic landmarks and a walk through the streets of the Old Quarter.
An itinerary through Northern Vietnam combining Mai Chau, Pu Luong, Tam Coc, Hang Mua, Halong and Hanoi, alternating trekking, cycling, boat trips, villages and rice fields to discover the country's rural landscapes and natural scenery.
