Tour description
country's cities and bays, and Cambodia's major historical and archaeological sites.
The journey begins in Hanoi and continues to Sapa, among the mountains and rice fields of northern Vietnam. Trekking through the villages of Lao Chai and Ta Van and Y Linh Ho offers the opportunity to discover areas inhabited by H'mong and Dao communities before returning to the capital.
From Hanoi, the itinerary continues to Halong Bay, with an overnight cruise among limestone islands and natural caves. The journey then crosses central Vietnam through Hoi An and Hue, combining historic architecture, local traditions and traces of the country's imperial past, before reaching Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City.
From Saigon, the journey continues through the Mekong Delta, passing through Cai Be and Chau Doc. From here, a boat journey crosses the border into Cambodia and reaches Phnom Penh, where visits to the Cambodian capital are included.
The final part of the itinerary leads to Siem Reap and the archaeological heritage of Angkor, with visits to Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, Bayon, Roluos and Ta Prohm. The journey is completed with an excursion on Tonle Sap Lake and a visit to a floating village.
An extensive journey through Vietnam and Cambodia connecting Sapa, Hanoi, Halong, Hoi An, Hue, Saigon, the Mekong, Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, combining trekking, rice fields, bays, historic cities and Khmer temples, with an Italian-speaking guide during the visits included in the programme.
